The idea of the morning and afternoon activities is to support the educational work of the school and home, as well as to provide a safe environment for the child’s growth and the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities. Morning and afternoon activities are especially important for children whose parents work long hours. Parent must apply in advance for a place in morning and afternoon activities, and municipalities may charge a fee for the activity.

Hämeenlinna schools organize morning and afternoon activities, which are open to first- and second-graders and students in special needs education.

APPLICATION FOR MORNING AND AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES FEE EXEMPTION

Parents can apply for the exemption from the fee for morning and afternoon activities if the family receives income support or on the basis of the family’s economic or social situation. The exemption may be granted no earlier than at the beginning of the month in which the application is received. Online application form  (doesn’t open in Internet Explorer).
